Essay Options

  1. We are sometimes inspired to take action to take different paths than we might have otherwise done. Tell us about someone in the LGBTQ community who inspired you to action
  2. Multi-issue organizing recognizes the connection/intersection of issues of race, ethnicity, class, gender and orientation. What have you done (or plan to do) to further the understanding of the mechanisms of oppression?
  3. In your opinion, what issues are most important to the advancement of the LGBTQ community? What have you done or plan to do to help further the understanding of the LGBTQ community within your school or within society at large?
  4. We are sometimes transformed by the experiences of our childhoods. How have LGBTQ issues affected your perspective on life and how have those issues propelled you to action?
